Jorja Smith comes through with a new video titled Goodbyes. Her latest video treatment is for one of the best songs on her debut album Lost & Found. An acoustic ballad about grief and resilience which Jorja wrote the song when she was 16.
The song’s official music video shows Jorja Smith taking center stage in front of some ethereal projections. Smith co-directed the VHS-hued clip with Rashid Babiker.
The song finds Jorja Smith mourning a lost friend and regretting not spending more time with them.
“Goodbyes’ is a song for anyone who has not been able to say their last words; to say goodbye to someone,” Jorja says. “Rashid and I filmed the video at home. I just sang as I wanted to create a homely feel. Then me and my friends set off fire lanterns for the people we miss.”
