Beyoncé shares new ‘Lion King’ teaser featuring her voice as Nala

Beyoncé voiced the adult version of Nala in Disney’s upcoming reboot of The Lion King. The singer was able to share another film’s trailer.

In the studio’s latest footage from the remake, we see Nala pleading with Simba (who’s voiced by Donald Glover) to return to Pride Rock and overthrow the government his evil uncle, Scar, has created in his absence.

“Simba, you have to take your place as king,” she says in the clip, which comes in at just 30 (glorious) seconds. “We need you. Come home.” Although we’ve still yet to hear Glover’s voice in the film, the end of the clip also includes a quick glimpse of Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner’s Pumbaa and Timon, who blurt out a funny quip at the end of the video.

The film also stars the voices of Donald Glover, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Alfre Woodard, James Earl Jones, and John Oliver. Lion King hits theaters on July 19, shortly after the 25th anniversary of the release of the original film.
