Poppy drops a new single titled “Scary Mask” featuring FEVER 333. Available for download and streaming on your favorite platorms, Poppy’s latest song arrives with its music video.
Scary Mask is a slow, melancholy beat and a roots metal sound, the track acts as a balanced genre identity crisis with a chaotic FEVER-crafted backdrop.
The singer finally dropped the collab on Twitter today, featuring a chilling album cover of Poppy wearing a “Scary Mask.” After initially teasing the track in April, the singer and FEVER 333 shared a social media exchange before she eventually confirmed the collab.
Poppy was interview by Billboard at the BBMAs where she revealed the track’s release date and first mentioned FEVER 333. Poppy discussed how the collaboration with FEVER 333 came about, “I found out that Stevis [Harrison, guitarist] was a fan of my videos, and he so happened to be in town when I was in the studio. He came to the studio, and he wrote the main guitar riff of the song, and he got Jason [Aalon Butler, singer] involved on the vocals, as well.”
