Kota The Friend unleashed his long-awaited debut FOTO album. The project arrived after the Brooklyn native turned down 3 major label deals, perfecting his effort for an independent release. On the effort, Kota brings along a few friends for the journey including Chago’s Saba on project select “Solar Return.”
The beauty in “Solar Return” is its efficiency in underscoring the burgeoning talent of Kota The Friend to virgin ears while securing Saba’s place among fans as one of the coldest at the moment.
“Foto is like flipping through a photo album of everything that has gotten me to this point,” Kota previously said of FOTO and its auxiliaries. “Everyone who has impacted me is on this project— one way or another.”
