Sara Bareilles – Amidst The Chaos (Album Download)
Sara Bareilles releases her new album Amidst The Chaos. Available for download and streaming on your favorite platforms, Amidst the Chaos comes nearly six years after her heart-wrenching fourth album, The Blessed Unrest, garnered an album-of-the-year nod at the 2014 Grammys. In between, her experience in Waitress changed the way she saw the world.
“I describe my life as falling into two categories: it’s ‘before Waitress’ and ‘after Waitress,’” she said. “It fundamentally changed almost everything about my life. My community of friends, collaborators, business partners, and my boyfriend.”
It was preceded by the track Armor, which Bareilles has called the “centerpiece of the new album.”
In an Instagram Live story, Bareilles revealed that the album would have 12 or 13 songs, saying,
There’s some guest vocalists, there’s some ballads about Obama, there’s some love songs.
She also discussed the sound of the album, describing it as sonically similar to her first album, Careful Confessions:
It’s kind of a return. The next album is rootsy and earthy and honest and simple. And there’s no synthesizers.
Sara’s official newsletter sent on February 15th, 2019 featured this quote about the album and its process:

This summer, in Los Angeles, along side some incredible collaborators and one inimitable producer named T Bone Burnett, the record came together swiftly and softly.
