Lauren London shares Nipsey Hussle tribute on Instagram
Lauren London has posted a heartbroken message on social media following the loss of her partner, Nipsey Hussle. London and Nipsey were together for six years and have one child, Kross, together.
Lauren London opened Instagram — the same app where she first connected with her partner, Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle, more than five years ago — and shared a series of photos. There’s one of London embracing Hussle, a wide smile bringing out her dimples. In another, a grinning Hussle lifts his young son high in the air.
London’s tribute follows messages from giants of the music world, including Drake, Rihanna, Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, and Cardi B. On Tuesday 29-year-old Eric Holder was arrested on suspicion of the murder of the Los Angeles rapper, who was shot and killed outside his clothing store on March 31.
“I am completely lost,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’ve lost my best friend My sanctuary My protecto My soul…. I’m lost without you We are lost without you babe I have no words.”
Police investigating the death of Nipsey Hussle named 29-year-old Eric Holder as a suspect. Hussle was shot and killed outside the clothing store he owned in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 31.
The LAPD released a statement on Tuesday morning stating that Holder and Hussle, real name Ermias Asghedom, had got into an argument shortly before the shooting. According to the police statement, Holder fired multiple times at Hussle and two other men, both of whom were injured and transported to hospital.
After the shooting, LAPD allege that Holder escaped down a nearby alley where he was picked up by an “unidentified female” who was waiting for him. Holder entered from the passenger side and the vehicle fled, authorities said. The vehicle is described as a white, four-door, 2016 Chevy Cruze, with the California license plate 7RJD742.
