Whitechapel drops a brand new song titled “When A Demon Defiles A Witch.” Available for download and stream, the band’s latest record if off their forthcoming album.
The band will be releasing their forthcoming album, the Valley, via Metal Blade Records, on March 29.
According to a press released, the title of the band’s new release is in reference to Hardin Valley, which is west of Knoxville, Tennessee, where the band’s frontman Phil Bozeman grew up.
As the release continues, it was revealed that Bozeman uses the location as a backdrop to the album, which features subject matter that deals with some of his personal struggles he had when growing up.
Of the new album, the band’s guitarist Alex Wade said:
“Phil has been upfront in his lyrics in the past about hardships he endured in his life as a child, and I believe with this record we tried to paint a better picture of that,” Wade said. “I feel our music is Phil’s release from his past, being able to get it out and speak about it, and hopefully anyone who hears it that may have gone through similar experiences can find some release in it as well.”
