A$ap Rocky – Kids turned Out Fine (Video)
A$ap Rocky shares a new video for his song “Kids Turned Out Fine”
a track taken from his latest album Testing. The Dexter Navy-directed video, according to a press release, “represents the transition from childhood to adulthood and all of the questions parents confront in raising their children.” However, due to the tab of acid Rocky takes in the opening scene, the rest of the clip’s psychedelic qualities feel told from his perspective, and therefore more personal.
The cinematic video starts off with a babushka-clad Rocky dropping acid, so, naturally, things get a lot weirder from there. Navy moves through several summertime montages: clips of children playing in the sun and people sitting by the pool, for example. There’s even a moment when Rocky seems to be enjoying a picnic in the park all by himself.
There’s also an appearance by a “Dreammachine,” a strobing vice intended to induce hallucinations.
