Night Beats – Myth of a Man (album download)
Night Beats comes through with a brand new album of 10 tracks titled “Myth of a Man“. Night Beat’s latest album is the follow up to their remarkable 2016 album Who Sold My Generation? which we talked to lead singer Blackwell about here. Fronted by Danny Lee Blackwell, Night Beats’ new album has been helmed by no less a figure than The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, a man who knows a thing or two about production (just check out his work on Dr John’s Locked Down album or Black Diamond Heavies’ A Touch Of Someone Else’s Class for evidence).
Myth Of A Man has him pulling from the surrogate wellspring of Nashville, Tennessee. It was there that he worked with the eminent Dan Auerbach, and a murderer’s row of battle-worn session musicians—the combined weight of experience that comes from working with every legend from Aretha Franklin to Elvis not lost on Blackwell. “I was just humbled by being accepted,” he explains, “Big hearts all around.”
The band returns for an 11-date UK and European tour that will in at London, Glasgow and Berlin among others. Check here for ticket information.
