Lana Del Rey – Happiness Is A Butterfly
Lana Del Rey has teased yet another song from her forthcoming album, Norman Fucking Rockwell. A short clip of the song arrived with an accompanying, vintage-style video on Instagram. The song appears on Shazam as being titled “Happiness is a Butterfly.”
“Happiness is a Butterfly” arrives just days after Del Rey released her latest single, the epically titled “hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have – but i have it.”
Del Rey recorded Norman Fucking Rockwell with producer Jack Antonoff. She released two tracks in 2018: “Venice Bitch” and “Mariners Apartment Complex.” A release date for the album remins TBC. released a new song “hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have – but I have it.” Throughout the cut, described in a statement as a “fan track,” Del Rey meditates on religion, family, alienation and the myths that surround celebrity.
“I was reading Slim Aarons and I got to thinking that I thought/Maybe if I’d get less stressed if I was tested less like/All of these debutantes,” she sings over dramatic piano chords. “Smiling for miles in pink dresses and high heels on white yachts/But I’m not, baby, I’m not/No, I’m not that; I’m not.”
