Cristiano Ronaldo Asked To Provide DNA Sample Amidst Rape Allegations
Cristiano Ronaldo will cooperate with investigators in Las Vegas. According to Zusha Elinson of the Wall Street Journal, Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo will be asked to provide a DNA sample in order to prove his innocence over the rape allegations made by Kathryn Mayorga. Demands for DNA swab test were disputed up until the point Ronaldo’s own lawyer, Peter S. Christiansen, entered the discussion as a result of BBC field report.
Journalist Dan Roan not only confirmed the procedural report but stated that it was in fact, a “very standard request” to demand a DNA sample, irrespective of guilt, or Ronaldo’s own admission of culpability. The soccer star continues to deny Mayorga’s allegations but is nonetheless willing to cooperate with Las Vegas officials, in order to prove his innocence.
Mayorga says she received $375,000, which she says, was only accepted due to an emotional state of distress. Just yesterday, another woman claiming to be Cristiano Ronaldo came forward out of solidarity to Mayorga. As reported, Ronaldo disputed her claims as well, later sending his lawyers on a mission to restore his name. “He has not had a relationship with her and he has not had any contact with her,” states the legal tender written in his defense. “Whether in the last 18 months as Ms. Lennard suggests.”
