Smino delivers his new single called Klink. Smino is set to drop his album Smino Noir and has shared the lead single “L.M.F.” from the St. Louis rapper and today brings new song “Klink.” The idiosyncratic track is filled with plucked string instrumentation and fast-paced vocals delivered in a hoarse style.
The project, the follow-up to “blkswn” (2017), is titled “Noir” and features new single “L.M.F.”
The “L.M.F.” video is directed by Lion Mufasa and features Smino returning home to St. Louis with a pet monkey and throwing a party to celebrate. Smino Noir will be the rapper’s sophomore release following his debut project, blkswn, which released in 2017.
The songs on the new album reflect a changing Smino dealing with more adult things.
“I guess growth for me means understanding (stuff) and being able to make music intentionally,” he says. “I’m not trying to be like anyone else’s art. I’m just trying to be the art that’s coming out of me. It’s just honest.”
He collaborated with LBoogie, Sango and Monte Booker on the album.
