Doctor charged for sexually harassing patients during breast examination.

A prominent New York doctor has been accused of molesting his patients during breast examination.

The doctor has been charged with sexually abusing a female patient during a breast cancer screening last year.

Dr Mark Jackson, 58, was charged with forcible touching and sexual abuse for allegedly sucking a 54-year-old patient’s breast during a routine breast exam.

Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance said Dr. Mark Jackson put his mouth on the victim’s breast and forcibly placed her hand on his genitals during the screening at the Starting Point Clinic, an addiction treatment facility that offers primary healthcare on West 124th Street in Harlem.

Jackson is charged with two counts of third-degree sexual abuse and one count of forcible touching. Vance said;

“Patients place a unique trust in their medical practitioners to conduct themselves with the utmost professionalism and care,”

“As alleged here, Mark Jackson betrayed that trust when he sexually abused a patient seeking a simple breast cancer screening.

Having attended to numerous patients over the course of his three years at this clinic, many of whom were grappling with substance use disorder, there is reason to believe there may be additional survivors of his alleged conduct.”

Police also say that the doctor guided the patient’s hand to his genitals against the woman’s will during a routine exam on Sept. 15, 2017.

“Do you see how hard you got me?” he allegedly asked the patient during the mid-morning session.

Jackson was arraigned Wednesday in Manhattan Criminal Court on two counts of sex abuse and one count of forcible touching.

Manhattan Prosecutor Matthew McCarthy said that Jackson;

“betrayed the trust of his patient and sexually abused her while she was seeking a simple cancer screening.”

Dr Jackson was ordered held on $15,000 bail at his arraignment Wednesday night.
