Miguel – Vote
Miguel releases a new song called Vote which is part of the Crazy Rich Asians soundtrack. The track, titled “Vote,” includes production from Mark Ronson and Hudson Mohawke, as well Mad Max, JMike, and Ghost. It starts with a pitched down vocal sample that brings back memories of Ronson’s “Uptown Funk,” and it’s a similarly colorful and dancey number; one that’s a good voice for Miguel’s crisp voice, but not one that would necessarily fit one his own album.
It’s a fun one-off that could do some damage on the charts and gives Miguel a little more time to work on his follow-up to 2017’s War & Leisure. Miguel has warned fans that his summer tour with DVSN will find him performing new music, including “Python,” the single he released out of nowhere in July.
