Future drops new song called Upscale featuring Quavo and Young Thug.

Future has to be among the busiest rap/hiphop music acts around. On his new record Upscale, the Atlanta rapper recruits Migos man Quavo and atlien Young Thug for his latest release. Future who recently featured on Rick Ross’ Green Gucci Suit and directed the official soundtrack for the movie Superfly, isn’t one to stay down for too long without dropping new songs for the streets.

Future has had some of his highest highs, career-wise—last year’s duo of FUTURE and HNDRXX debuted with back-to-back Billboard No. 1s—but no full-length release has matched Beast Mode’s emotional tenor. With the surprise release of BEASTMODE 2, Future and Zay join the ranks of Raekwon and Francis Ford Coppola (and, well, Future’s own DS2) with a sequel that doesn’t just reprise the original’s magic, but improves on it.

BM2 takes a few tracks to warm up, retreading familiar territory before baring its soul. Beast Mode 2, the sequel to a 2015 collaboration with Atlanta producer and pianist Zaytoven, took a little time and sweat to conceive — Zay told Fader the new mixtape’s nine songs were culled from a hundred tracks created in sessions that spread out over two years — and you can hear it in the verses. Zaytoven and Future are one of the great rapper/producer duos of our time, and Beast Mode 2 is a 30-minute crash course in the hows and whys.
