Weezer drops new song “Africa.”
Weezer shares a new single “Africa.” The song is actually a cover to Toto’s original. On Tuesday morning, unequivocal proof finally arrived that Humpty Dumpty is the true consciousness of the Internet. Remember what the giant egg told Alice in Lewis Carroll’s children’s classic?

In Humpty’s looking-glass existence, facts, logic or hierarchies of taste do not adhere. They haven’t been reversed; they’ve just — poof! — vanished. Carroll’s book gives us the Victorian version, but it’s a similar environment that produces fake news, memes fetishizing overweight cats and now … Weezer covering Toto’s “Africa.”
