Chelsea and Manchester United lock horns at the Wembley Stadium to decide who lifts the FA Cup trophy.
United are chasing a record-equalling 13th title, which would put them level with Arsenal as the most successful team in the competition’s history, while Chelsea, who last won the FA Cup in 2012, will attempt to lift the vaunted trophy for the eighth time in their history.
The Blues overcame Southampton in the semi-final to bookend their season with a trip to England’s famous ‘Home of Football’ and they will be particularly desperate to win having suffered a bitter defeat to London rivals Arsenal in the final last season.
With Conte’s job all done and dusted and Jose Mourinho with his job intact, it’s more or less a rivalry between the players on the pitch.
The match started off well with Chelsea looking the more likely to strike. Belgian talisman, Eden Hazard poses a lot of threat dribbling through and jumping over tackles to test De Gea.
Manchester United were missing main striker Lukaku who was left out of the action thus creating less of an impact on the offensive front. Hazard once again ran the frontline of the Chelsea attack and caused Phil Jones to tackle him in the penalty box to stop Hazard. The referee poured to the spot kick. Penalty!!!!
Eden stepped up and slotted the goal, sending the manchester United goalie the wrong way. Chelsea lead 1 nil.

The rest of the match was Manchester United trying to get the ball into the box with chances begging. Matic took the ball and dribbled his way into the Chelsea half before sending the ball to Pogba and it stumbled into Rashford’s feet but the young English striker couldn’t take the shot and what resulted was a very weak attempt on goal.
The referee blew the whistle and it’s half time.
Second half resumes and Manchester United begin the half attacking more than they did in the first half. Chelsea seemed to just be comfortable soaking pressure. Mourinho makes changes and brings in Lukaku and Martial and they keep the pressure on the Chelsea goal. Matic comes close with a thunderous strike. Pogba heads the ball wide after latching unto a free header from a corner kick.
Jose makes another change to bring in Mata but it already looked late as Conte decides to bring on Willian. Manchester United kept flooding the Chelsea 6 yard box with crosses from both wings but Rudiger plays a perfect game defensively.
5 minutes of extra time was added but it was not enough for Manchester united to equalize. Chelsea win the 2018 F.A cup final beating Manchester United 1 goal to nil.
