Nicki Minaj finally gives fans a new album titled ‘Queen’.
Nicki Minaj recently made her return with a pair of singles called “Chun-Li” and “Barbie Tingz” and now the beautiful Young Money rapper announces her fourth studio album Queen. Nicki revealed the album’s title this evening during an interview at Met Gala along with a release date of June 15th.
“It’s a big night for me because I just let the world know that my album is coming on June 15, and it’s called Queen, and I can’t wait,” she told reporters. “Absolutely. I’m dressed like a queen everyday all day,” Nicki added when asked if she was dressed like a “queen.” The project is currently led by the previously heard singles “Chun-Li” and “Barbie Tingz,” both of which saw a pair of videos drop last week in support.
During an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 last month, Nicki teased the title. “[Fans] are gonna love the title of the album,” she said. “It fits everything that I am right now, where I am in my life.” Queen will serve as the follow-up to 2014’s The Pinkprint, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
With albums from Kanye West, Drake, and now Nicki on the horizon, this Summer’s list of releases is beginning to look very promising.
