When I was writing this song I was trying to fight this feeling, and found that the more I did, the deeper I fell into their trance. In production, I aimed to create a primitive, contained atmosphere that captures the all-consuming distraction of early desire. I’m particularly excited that “Alien” comes from an all-women team: I produced it alongside Alex Hope, and the visual was directed by Clare Gillen. I fucking love this song, and I hope you do, too!!
