PBSR drops off a brand new single titled Holding. The song is the second track from his upcoming EP …and dusky doors.
Holding’ was the last song I wrote for the EP. It is one of the most intense songs I’ve ever written, after I struggled to find myself and my mind space in London, and I think the song conveys that fragility. it includes some ambient recording from the Tate, where I spent quite some time during this period.
“Holding,” is a masterclass in good production. It is for those who scoff at electronic music or dare to call it hollow. “Holding” is anything but—it’s fragile and emotive, the ambient sounds layered expertly over one another, the vocal bursting through the electronica is PBSR airing his vulnerability in full visibility of a crowd.
