Salomon Faye blessed fans with “Live And Learn” earlier this month and now the rising New York artist serves up his King Salomon EP. The three-song project contains appearances by J. Cole and Nas Leber. J. Cole’s only offered up a few features over the last few years, so you know he really likes an artist if he drops a hook or verse on their song. So with that in mind, it’s probably safe to assume Jermaine’s a big fan of Salomon Faye, an artist he appears alongside on his new song, “Live and Learn.”
The three-track EP finds Faye offering his social commentary on the state of the world, inner conflicts and seeking God.
He even describes his pensive bars as lethal on the track “1984″ featuring Nas Leber, where he spits, “Mind is a weapon, so don’t make me have to shoot ya.” With roots in Paris, Harlem and West Africa, the conscious MC is putting his higher state of mind on full display. Consider his forthcoming three-track EP a sampler for his debut album, Book of Salomon.
