Nef The Pharaoh just released a new song tagged “Poppin Again.” The BPM record that’s bursting with personality and full of moving parts, all of which scream Bay Area. It’s all over before the 2-minute mark, but should leave a lasting impression regardless. The song follows Nef’s March 2017 release The Chang Project, and hints that more new music may be on the way.
Recently Nef appeared on Too Short’s “Save All That Love,” which comes from his Bay Area-focused Hella Disrespectful project, matching Nef with Mozzy and Mist F.A.B. Nef has always paid tribute to the history of his region. He recently revealed an E-40 tattoo on the back of his leg. “I didn’t wanna wait till my OG was dead & gone to show him I appreciate everything he’s done 4 me & mines,” he wrote in the caption on Instagram. “[You’ve] opened doors and allowed me to bring my day ones right threw them muthafuckas ✅ & w/ that bein said…I’m @sickwiditrecords till I’m 6 feet under, love you @e40 🙏🏾 (s/o @youngblood_wst for the new leg tat, we still ain’t finished tho).”
