CyHi The Prynce seemed to languish a bit when signed to G.O.O.D. Music, and while he’s never lost the support of Kanye West (and vice versa), it seems like the best move for CyHi was to leave the label (he’s under Sony), as he has now, finally, solidified his debut album’s release, which is impending. It’s clear he still has Ye’s support, as the rapper executive produced No Dope on Sundays on top of providing a verse for the recent release “Dat Side.”
The G.O.O.D. Music team’s contributions to No Dope on Sundays doesn’t end there, Travis Scott pops up on the song “I’m Fine,” which is seeing its debut today. It’s actually the perfect melding of both artists’ styles, while Travis does have a habit of monopolizing and determining the sound direction of almost any song he’s on (feature or otherwise), here, it still feels wholly like a CyHi song, with Travis providing his usual trappy, auto-tuned ad-libs and melodic bars. The song is defined by its organ keys, with soulful, gospel-esque production, and it’s likely you can expect a lot more of that on NDOS.
