Demi Lovato’s sixth studio album, Tell Me You Love Me was released on Friday and to celebrate the body of work, Demi hosted a live stream event with VEVO where she discussed the LP and delivered stripped down performances of its songs “Sorry Not Sorry” and “Tell Me You Love Me.”

For Lovato, stripped down meant bringing in an 8-person choir, while favoring more mellow analog instrumentation that felt vibrant in the spacious loft setting.
During the nearly hourlong event, Lovato corrected the common assumption that her single “Sorry Not Sorry” was not written about an ex, explaining it was instead written for those who bullied her in high school. She also said she would love to work with Ariana Grande and recalled Snoop Dogg hot boxing her house during a party. She also teased a new song in a different language likely coming out soon, saying it might even be a duet. Watch the full thing here

French Montana, Desiigner, Kelly Clarkson and Luis Fonsi all made surprise video appearances to wish Lovato congratulations on her new album.
