Linkin Band had released a new music video for the deeply personal One More Light track “Talking to Myself.”
It’s sad to read that lead singer for the band Chester Bennington was found dead on Thursday (June 20) from apparent suicide.
The Mark Fiore-edited and -directed clip follows Linkin Park on tour through Europe and serves as a particularly moving memento now following Bennington’s passing. Bennington is featured prominently throughout the video, be it hanging out backstage or performing the song before packed stadiums.
Appropriately, “Talking to Myself” was written by Bennington from his wife Talinda Bentley’s point of view as she watched him battle his personal demons.
Bennington had spoken openly about his struggles with drug and alcohol addictions at various times during his life, as well as about being molested by an older man when he was a child. The musician is survived by Bentley and six children.
