Royce Da 5’9’s flow is the equivalent of watching a master Guitar Hero player. Once they get going, you don’t know how they’re going to stop without crashing, and yet they keep that combo going, building and building, without losing any momentum. About halfway through Royce’s “Mask Off” verse, all you can really do is shake your head and mutter “how is he doin’ this?”
By now, Future’s beat has been bodied by a wave of talented characters. Yet there are few who can dominate a beat like Royce. His flow is simply too creative, and he switches it up in ways that defy reason.
