Makonnen, the Atlanta rapper seemed to be most in his element when he was mid-freestyle. Whether spitting some off-the-dome bars for his fans on Snapchat or hitting ‘record’ in the studio, Makonnen has been known to black out for upwards of 10 minutes on songs.
With “Line 2,” he’s given us yet another “one take” freestyle, and it’s a surprisingly structured recording. Complete with a catchy hook many rappers would struggle to write given an extended period of time, Makonnen proves that sometimes your best idea is your first idea.
