In the “Empire” Season 3, episode 14 promo, Cookie can be seen telling Lucious that Angelo (Taye Diggs) has been hinting that he is going to propose to her. From the reaction on his face, it looks like Lucious is less than thrilled about Cookie marrying the politician.

Lucious can also be seen telling Cookie that whatever she has with Angelo is nothing compared to the love they once shared. At the end of the promo, Angelo can be seen proposing to Cookie. However, the expression on her face makes it seem as if she doesn’t know if she actually wants to marry him.

In the promo, it is made clear that Lucious and Guiliana have a history and that the two may be in the process of rekindling an old romance.
