The Weeknd and Lana Del Rey have recently registered a new song titled “Lust For Life.” While the song is officially a Lana track, The Weeknd is credited as a writer. Speculation is that he will be appearing on vocals as well.
The pair have collaborated in the past, with Del Rey featuring on The Weeknd’s track “Prisoner,” as well as providing vocals on a “Stargirl” interlude. It would appear that the two are happy with their musical chemistry, and the forthcoming track definitely sounds promising. One thing is for sure – the reverb will flow.
The production is atmospheric and synth heavy, with reverberated, sensual vocals. The song celebrates the excitement that so often accompanies sexuality, playing on desires almost whimsical in nature.
The lyrics paint the picture of the ultimate uninhibited fantasy: dancing on the Hollywood sign and stripping buck ass naked.
