Award winner and record breaker Adele completes her first tour of Australia on Sunday (March 19) in Melbourne.
First, the numbers. The final destination on her five-city, eight-show trek gave Adele the perfect send-off as she completed a record-busting weekend. The singer set a new benchmark for Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium when 77,300 fans came through the gate Sunday night, besting the record she set the previous night by roughly 2,000.
Those record crowds took home some golden memories which, thanks to the wonders of technology, were captured and shared on social media for the rest of the world to gawp at.

And in another highlight, Adele gave a tongue lashing to a security guard who was behaving like a killjoy. “Excuse me sir, I know you work here but could you stop telling people to sit down? This is a music show,” Adele explained. “If people can’t see they can stand up. If you’re moaning about people dancing, what the f— have you come to a show for? If I see one more person get told to sit down, I swear to God…”
