“Keep On” is the first full song on her debut album SweetS*xySavage, and as such it is a something of a tone-setter.
Kehlani establishes her determination to bare all, even if that means painting herself in a negative light. She portrays herself as a bad girlfriend unworthy of her man, who inexplicably welcomes her back with open arms.
“And you just keep on taking me back / And I don’t know why you do / Cuz I’m no good to you,” she sings.
