Mozambique’s award winning hip hop star, Laylizzy is signed to Pan African label, Geobek Records.
Through his talent and influence in hip hop music, he continues to rep his country, breaking boundaries all across the continent. He has also successfully released two singles under the label to date, his first being “Tha Crew” and the current one being “Hello” (featuring AKA).
“Hello” was released in April 2016, taking the number #1 spot on the iTunes allgenres chart in Mozambique on the first day and week of its release and also leading as #2 on the iTunes hip-hop chart in South Africa. The single was play listed and hit radio charts in SA, Mozambique, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Nigeria. This ultimately led Laylizzy to being the first Mozambican artist to get verified on Instagram and on Facebook a day after the release of the single.
