American Singer Alicia Keys created a powerful moment at the 2016 VMAs on Sunday night.
Live at Madison Square Garden in her hometown of New York City, the R&B songstress took the stage to present Best Male Video, but Alicia had much more than a typical nominee speech planned.
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech, which he delivered to the world 53 years ago today (Aug. 28), Keys performed a poem and a capella.
“Maybe we could love somebody / Instead of polishing the bombs of holy war,” she sings.
