Congratulations are in order for Ne-Yo and his wife Crystal Renay. The couple welcomed a baby boy named Prince Shaffer Chimere Smith, Jr. on Tuesday (March 15).
The baby, nicknamed SJ, was born at 6 pounds, 8 ounces, and 19 inches.
The couple married last month in a Rancho Palos Verdes ceremony. Ne-Yo, whose real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, has a 5-year old daughter, Madilyn Grace, and a 4-year-old son, Mason Evan, from a previous relationship with Monyetta Shaw.
But that’s not the only reason for Ne-Yo fans to celebrate. Last week, the crooner promised fans new music after his son’s birth.
“Got new music coming VERY SOON,” he tweeted. “Just gotta get my lil’ man into the world properly.
