Lil Durk – Signed To The Streets 3 mixtape download
Lil Durk is ready to drop some new solo music. The Chicago rapper took to Instagram to announce the third chapter in his Signed To The Streets saga, which will be dropping at some point in 2018. The mixtape series played a pivotal role in launching Durk into the mainstream spotlight; when the first volume dropped in 2013, the DJ Drama hosted tape featured production from Zaytoven, Young Chop and more. Ultimately, it helped propel Durk’s brand of drill music into a new realm of popularity, and the rapper has been enjoying success ever since.
Durk teased an interesting new song, which features an interpolation of Logic’s “1-800-273-8255.” Only, instead of lamenting on the perils of mental health issues and suicidal tendencies, Durk flips the script into a hood narrative. “Why the opposition calling my line, telling me come outside,” sings Durk, “I would but I know they lyin’.” There’s something darkly comedic about Durk belting out “there’s gon’ be a homicide” in the tune of the most inspiring, non-violent track of all time.
