Liverpool faced Manchester City at the Etihad Saturday September 9th, and manager Klopp had an almost full-strength squad to choose from for the Premier League clash.

There have been 14 goals in the last five league games between the two with Liverpool winning four of those and the other being a 1-1 draw. The last time City beat the visitors in the league was a 3-1 win at the Etihad in August 2014. 

Adam Lallana and Nathaniel Clyne are still out injured, but the reintegration of want away ace Coutinho will be a big boost to the Reds as they look to continue their fine domestic form.

The 25-year-old had been targeted by Barcelona as a replacement for Neymar, but a deal failed to materialise after Liverpool reportedly valued the ace at £183million.

England international Kyle Walker, who City spent £50m to sign from Spurs in July, missed City’s 2-1 victory at Bournemouth before the international break.
Walker was back on the pitch, City will be without captain Vincent Kompany. The centre-back sustained a calf injury in World Cup qualifying last week.

Meanwhile, Liverpool arrive at the Etihad just two points behind their opponents after the opening three games of this season.

The Reds’ Philippe Coutinho will not be involved despite featuring for Brazil in World Cup qualifying.

The match started off lively with both sides attacking and creating chances before Kevin Debryne put Aguero in space who rounded Liverpool goalie Mignolet to put city ahead. 

Mane chased a Matip pass and had a boot stuck out which collided with city goalie Ederson. Mane got sent off and Ederson was out of the game injured.

Gabriel Jesus attcked a header from Kevin Debryne to score city’s second putting them 2 goals up. 
8 minutes of extra time and nothing happens as we go into half time. Manchester City convincingly ahead. 

Second half resumes with Liverpool making a change. Salah coming off fro new recruit Oxlade. 
Gabriel Jesus makes it 3 – 0 after receiving a good ball from Aguero. Liverpool sinking right now. Fernandindo plays the ball from the halfway line and Aguero runs onto it. Mignolet comes off his line and the striker squares it to his partner, for Jesus to make it 3-0 to the home side. 

Jesus is coming off, to be replaced by Sane. Mendy just had a chance which Mignolet gets down low to save.
Solanke comes on for Firmino.
Liverpool win a free kick after Mendy nudges Milner off the ball. Alexander-Arnold takes and it’s headed out, Henderson plays it back towards goal but Otamendi kicks it away. 
Mangala replaces Otamendi who is still struggling.

Manchester City dominate play and making interchanging passes create a goal. Sane gets the ball makes a one-two pass with Mendy who puts in the ball in a beautiful area for Sane to slot in the ball. Manchester City 4-nil up.

Walker gets onto a cross from Mendy and cuts back the ball to Sane who bends the ball into the back of the net leaving Mignolet in no mans land. 5-0
Final whistle Mancity Defeats Liverpool.
