Lil Yachty dropped his debut album Teenage Emotions in May and the “King of the Teens” isn’t slowing down as he plans to release more music. On Thursday morning (Aug 31), Yachty previewed a new song on Twitter and Instagram with the succinct caption, “Lil Boat 2 otw.”
With his vocals coated in Auto-Tune, Yachty glides through the spacey track with celebratory lines. “Self-made n—a with a self-made crew,” croons Lil Boat. In March 2016, Yachty paddled his way into to success with the release of Lil Boat. The lighthearted mixtape boasted a bevy of bangers — including his biggest solo single to date, “One Night” (which peaked at No. 49 on the Billboard Hot 100) and his star-studded remix for “Minnesota,” with Quavo and Young Thug.
Earlier this week, Yacthy was announced as one of the performers slated to touch down in Chicago this November for Red Bull Sound Select. Joining him will be Young Thug, Kehlani, Khalid and Migos.

The song’s title isn’t clear yet, but the track is produced by Charlie Shuffler.
After posting the video, fans flooded the Sailing Team captain‘s mentions with suggestions for the sequel project to his first Lil Boat mixtape of last year. Yachty is assuring them that he will be providing all of fans’ favorite qualities of his work to make the project the best it can be.
“I know what y’all want.. Lil boat 2 gone be fire.. all Ima say,” he wrote shortly after.
Lil Boat 2 will follow in the footsteps of the Atlanta native’s debut album, Teenage Emotions, that dropped earlier this summer. Although the project did not live up to expectations as far as sales, Yachty has continued to keep fans on their toes for more material to come.

On a live stream on Twitch, Lil Yachty said to his gaming fans that Lil Boat 2 will mostly be dropped in January.
The clip captures Yachty apologising that the project isn’t coming in December but then reassures his fans that he’s working hard and ready to get the project out in January. LB2 announced a collaboration album with Lil Pump isnt the the only project on the way for the Yachty, he recently last month as well so be ready for that project too. Watch the clip below.
