VIDEO: FlowKing Stone – Rapping Drums

Here is a pure representation of Rap and hip-hop done the African way.
The first of it kind ever made. It incorporates the various dance ensembles from the different tribes of Ghana. Ranging from Damba, to Adowa, Kete, Agbadja etc.
Flowking Stone raps to all the rhythms of the different African drums and percussions from the 10 regions of Ghana. He uses words to interpret the rhythms and melodies of the sound of the African drums.
As used to be done by the griots some hundred years ago in some of the African palaces. A typical example is the ‘talking drums’ known in the Ashanti culture as Atumpan.
This video is directed by one of the finest video makers in Ghana called Xbills Ebenezer.
