The Weeknd strikes a cord with the dark, horror movie inspired music video for “In the Night,” the third single off his chart-topping album Beauty Behind the Madness.
Directed by BRTHR and shot in Brooklyn, the six-minute video, follows the R&B star as he sings in the rain and hits the strip club, where he watches his real-life super model girlfriend Bella Hadid dance.
Filmed with the quality of a VHS tape, the video takes a dangerous turn when a few men take her hostage, only to turn into a bloodbath where Hadid and her friends exact revenge.
Yesterday, it was announced that The Weeknd scored seven Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year. He is currently on his “Madness Fall Tour” with special guests Travis Scott, Halsey, and Banks, which wraps Dec. 19 in Miami.
